The SK0UX HF Antenna Collection

SK0UX has a unique lineup of HF antennas, all are VERY competitive in Scandinavia.

SK0UXs primary objective is to provide our members with a SUPER QTH and an excellent range of HF antennas.

Rigs are not provided by the club. You should bring you own equipment and simply plug it in.

Antennas:

160 m Inverted Vee 35 magl (meters above ground level)
80 m 3 wire sloper systems
40 m 2 el Qubical Quad , boom 10m, mounted on dedicated 35m tower with 360 deg. azimuth rotation
15 m 4 el mono Yagi mounted on dedicated 15m tower and 360 deg. azimuth rotation.
10 m 8 element Qubical Quad, boom 14.5m, mounted on dedicated 18m tower, 360 deg. azimuth rotation
20 - 10 m 12 el Log-periodic, 24 magl
40, 20, 15, 20 m 3el. Fritzel FB-33, 12magl (with 40m dipole-add-on)

The Quad antennas

The Qubical Quad antennas are mounted on individual towers and will be fully rotatable.

As a fact, these Qubical Quad antennas are to our knowledge, only available at SK0UX.

The Qubical Quads are custom-designed for SK0UX by our member SM0TQX, Waldemar and have been developed especially suited for our ground conditions at our location (solid rock) and the effective antenna height.

Highlights on the SK0UX Quad design

All feedpoints (coax and element wire) are tied together with waxed nylon cord (the kind used for cable harness)

The elements are mounted through teflon tubing at each and every fix-points ( on each of the spreaders).

There are no holes made through any of the spreaders.

The top vertical fix-point for the elements are all heavy duty mounting as the element wire will carry some of the weight from the horizontal spreaders.

The Quads are all a flexible design; , no holes, minimum of clamps, and all mounts are kept flexible.

All spreaders are tapered fiberglass spreaders coated with polyurethane for UV protection and wear.

The Quads are made from the best available HW: aircraft heavy duty aluminum, high quality fiberglass and tapered designs, Teflon tubing, waxed polycord and solid enameled heavy duty copper wire.

The azimuth rotators for the 10,15 and 20m Quads all have swivel type of coax connectors which makes it very safe for rotation without cable failures. Also the rotation is controlled by time-delay relays to prevent too fast maneuvers that destroys the worm reductions and mountings. Kvarnberget is located 60meters above sea level (masl) + the height of the individual towers.
